Student Ambassador Program

Broward League of Cities’ Student Ambassador program is designed to support future community leaders by providing introductions into the world of public service to high school students who plan to pursue a career in public administration, political science or other government-related fields.

Four high school juniors are selected each year to partake in the 2-year program. During their term, ambassadors attend Broward League of Cities general membership meetings, board of directors meetings and other functions pertaining to the operation of the League. Under the tutelage of the Broward League’s Education Committee, students have the opportunity to meet with elected officials and learn the intricacies of governing at the municipal level.

Student ambassadors’ monthly “My View” columns detail their experiences in the program and views on current events. To read the student ambassadors’ My View columns, click here.
